Men head for Canada!

After Washington victories for Andy Roddick and a clay court win for Tommy Robredo in Sopot,Poland the men are on there way to the master series event in Canada. The tournament marks the comeback from injury of britains Andy Murray who will face USA's Robbie Ginepri in the first round. Murray is surely going to be a bit rusty after not playing since injurying his wrist in hamburg back in May.

The women continue their American tournaments and move on from San Diego to Los Angeles. San Diego winner Maria Sharapova keeps her number 2 spot in the ladies rankings behind Justine Henin. Anna Chakvetadze continues her impressive year and reaches a career high number 6 in the world and nears her 50th match win of the year!

A quick mention for the British girls who are finding form in the hardcourts of the USA. Anne Keothavong reached the final in Lexington and then won in Vancouver last week taking her near to the worlds top 150 at number 153. Elena Baltacha continues to comeback from injury and gain experience while Wimbledon junior semi-finlaist Anna Fitzpatrick also continues to make her mark on the senior tour and reaches a high of 364 in the rankings.
